John E. Napier

John E. Napier, 73 of Defiance, Ohio was born on June 5, 1941 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late John Napier & the late, Leila Adams Napier. John passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. He lived in Leslie County until 1960 when He went into the U. S. Army. Johnny served his country until 1968. He was a staff Seargent and served in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. Johnny received 2 bronze stars, 1 being for Valor and a Purple Heart. Johnny loved fishing & hunting. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, John & Leila Adams Napier & one nephew, Jonathan Troy "J.T." Melton He leaves the following relatives surviving, his wife, Sue Evans Napier of 46 years, one daughter, Jennifer Napier & one son, John Cecil Napier. Johnny is also survived by three sisters, Jean Butler & Bud, Gwen Taylor & Katie Melton & one brother, Gary Napier. Also a host of nieces & nephews survive. He will be greatly missed.
