Mr. Curtis Wayne Asher, 46, Middlefork Rd., Helton, Ky. 40840 departed this life on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at this residence. Curtis was born December 12, 1967 at Beverly, KY the son of Stella Short Asher & the late Eugene Asher. By occupation, Curtis Wayne was a strip miner and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. Curtis Wayne was affiliated with the Dry Fork Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especiall his grandchildren. Curtis Wayne was preceded in death by his father: Eugene Asher, one sister: Tammy Louise Asher, maternal grandparents: Grant & Scerina Short, and paternal Grandparents: Farmer & Matilda Asher & special aunt: Coreen Short. He leaves surviving the following relatives: beloved mother Stella Short Asher of Helton, KY, two sons: Neil Short of Stoney Fork, KY. Christopher Short of Stoney Fork, Ky., one daughter: Megan Cavins & Kevin of Baxter, KY, Mother of Children and Life long Companion and best friend: Angeleta Short of Stoney Fork, KY, one brother: Troy Asher and Amy of Roark, KY, grandchildren: Taten Short, Sidney Short, Jade Short and Heather Short, very special aunt: Eunice Brock, special Sister-in-law: Amy Sheryl Asher, Special Nephew: Troy Brandon Asher, Special Nieces: Morgan Asher and Maci Asher, Special cousins Tammy Brooklyn, Shelby David Brock & Presley Danielle.
